Spent Earth is the used bentonite powder along with activated carbon, which were used for decolourization of crude vegetable oil. This spent Earth contains around 18-25% oil which can be extracted in solvent plants to make soap grade oil.
One of the minor by products of the rice bran oil refining industry is rice bran gums. The major components of rice bran gums are phospholipids.The gums contain around 12-18% oil which can be used in soap manufacturing . It is also used as cattle feed and in cosmetics etc.
